Kachette, Old Street
Kachette is a popular East London event space located under the railway bridge on Old Street in one of London's most popular nightlife districts Shoreditch. Constructed in 1860 by Victorian architects, Kachette is housed in the former Shoreditch Station which remained unused for 25 years until 2013, when it was renovated and reopened as an event space. Kachette's beautiful black gate entrance opens into the original ticket hall of the former Shoreditch Station. A picturesque vintage clock is visible on entrance into the foyer of Arch 1 which splits into two low ceiling arches with exposed Victorian brickwork, industrial lighting trusses and PA sound-system.
The venue also features a cast iron spiral staircase leading to the production office, ample bathrooms with disabled facilities, ducted air-conditioning and heating in both arches, a cloakroom and an outdoor courtyard for loading and catering. Kachette regularly hosts brand product launches, retail popups, art exhibitions, corporate events, birthdays and weddings. The whole venue can be hired catering for up to 330 guest standing or for smaller events, the front room can be hired on its own catering for up to 180 guests.
