Set in the refined splendour of a medieval abbey with 10 acres of spectacular grounds, Missenden Abbey is the perfect venue for your wedding day.

Licensed for civil weddings and partnerships, our main house is exclusively yours for the day and ceremonies can be held in the Library or the Garden Room followed by canapés and Champagne on our manicured lawns.

You can host a beautiful wedding breakfast within the vaulted ceilings and stained glass of our dining rooms and then dance the night away with a live band or disco.

From the warmth of our hospitality to the exceptional food, we take care of every last detail. All you need to do is relax and devote yourself to enjoying the wedding of your dreams.

The following are included in your hire fee:

• white linen tablecloths and napkins
• free on-site secure parking
• a bridal suite for the bride and groom
• your own dedicated wedding coordinator
• cake stand and knife
• a selection of garden games.

Most of the food on your plate at Missenden Abbey will be locally grown and sourced, supporting our community. This includes local butchers, dairies and once the garden nursery next door has been established, fresh fruit and vegetables will be right on our doorstep.

Our menus change according to the seasons but we are happy to discuss your requirements and develop menus to your liking. 

We have a range of dining experiences available; for more formal events, why not book a private dining room, where you will be attended to by our highly trained team. Alternatively, you can reserve tables any day of the week in the restaurant with our front of house team. We also have a bar menu which can be enjoyed in comfort in our bar or on the lawn watching the sunset.

Whether you are after a classic afternoon tea or more formal fine dining experience, anything can be catered for. The team can offer hog roasts, barbecues, Christmas parties (private or party nights) and would love to look after you on your wedding day.

     

Location

Situated in rolling Buckinghamshire countryside, nestling behind flint walls and surrounded by landscaped parkland, Missenden Abbey can be found in the village of Great Missenden on the High Street. Mainline railway is available from Gt Missenden station a few minutes away.
Gt Missenden lies on the A413, and is easily accessible from both the M25 and M40.
