Shoreditch Electric
Retaining its original brickwork and many features, the building began life as a Victorian Power Station in 1896. The spaces range from small studios to cavernous chambers, all of which serve as a blank canvas for any kind of event.
The two main spaces are the Generating Chamber, which is 280sqm, and the Combustion Chamber which is 425sqm. The Courtyard leads straight into the Combustion Chamber which is ideal for load in’s and serves as a great outdoor event space. There are a number of different studios which are great for breakout spaces for larger events. The two main spaces along with some of the studios have multiple rigging points. The venue is fully licensed and operates as a completely dry hire venue.
The building is also home to the National Centre for Circus Arts - a registered charity dedicated to supporting circus arts education and development. All revenue from commercial venue hire goes directly towards the running of the centre.
