Set over four floors and able to accommodate ceremonies and receptions for up to 200 guests, the Foundling Museum provides the perfect backdrop for your romantic celebration.
From recommending caterers, to sourcing florists, our onsite wedding and events coordinator is happy to assist you with every aspect of planning your wedding and would be delighted to assist as little or as much as you wish. With a wedding and civil ceremony licence for two beautiful and historic rooms – the stunning Court Room and the elegant Picture Gallery – the Foundling Museum offers a wonderfully romantic venue in which to make precious memories.

The Court Room

An ideal setting for an intimate celebration of your commitment, the breath-taking Court Room accommodates up to 50 guests for a civil ceremony, 40 guests for a wedding breakfast, and 60 guests for a reception.

The Picture Gallery

A magnificent setting for a larger wedding, the Picture Gallery is decorated with some of the nation’s great art treasures, providing an exquisite location for your ceremony and celebration. The Picture Gallery can accommodate up to 100 guests for a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast, and 200 guests for a reception.
Following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy a champagne reception throughout the Museum, exploring the collections and the internationally important eighteenth century artwork before taking their seats for a sumptuous wedding breakfast. To extend your celebration, the airy Museum Café can be transformed into a lively area for dancing with a DJ, dance floor, and atmospheric lighting.
